By measuring concrete resistivity, the Resipod provides insights for a variety of critical applications:

- Chloride permeability: Resistivity is directly correlated with a concrete structure's resistance to chloride ion penetration, which is a major cause of corrosion.
- Moisture content: The device can identify wet and dry areas in a concrete structure, as resistivity is influenced by moisture.
- Quality control: It can assess the efficiency of concrete curing and identify variations in the water-to-cement ratio.
- Cathodic protection: The data helps determine zonal requirements for cathodic protection systems.
