Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)

Home Facilities Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)

Make: TA Instruments, USA

Model: SDT Q600

  • TGA instrument measures weight changes in a material as function of temperature (or time) under controlled atmosphere
  • Decomposition kinetics and composition analysis
  • Thermal stability of materials
  • In addition, physical changes that do not involve weight changes can be detected by DTA. Such changes include crystallization, melting, changes in solid crystal phases and homogeneous reaction in solid state.

Useful for multiple disciplines of research such as physics, chemistry, material science, metallurgy, biology, nanotechnology and nano-science.
