    • If the samples are powders or small particles in suspension, cover with a couple of tissue paper or kimwipes without poking holes
    Freeze drying is a method in which a completely frozen sample is placed in a vacuum to remove water or other solvents, allowing the ice to convert directly from a solid to a vapor without going through a liquid phase.
